The 2026 American Music Awards Will Take Place On May 25
Following the success of 2025’s American Music Awards, CBS and Paramount+ picked up the fan-voted award show for five more years, through 2030.
This year’s show will be on May 25th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
On April 6, it was announced that Queen Latifah would be hosting the show, which will air live on CBS and available to stream on Paramount+.
With the show coming up in a little over a month, the American Music Award nominees were finally announced on April 14. There are 50 different categories, with some being all-genre categories, while others are narrowed down by their musical genre whether it be Pop, Country, Hip-Hop, K-Pop, Rock/Alternative, Latin, R&B, Afrobeats, Dance/Electronic, or Americana/Folk.
Which Country Stars Were Nominated?
Country music has a great showing in the nominations, with Ella Langley and Morgan Wallen being nominated in a few of the all-genre categories. The genre also dominated the Collaboration of the Year category.
Morgan Wallen is the second-most nominated artists with seven, behind only Taylor Swift with eight.

Ella Langley is the most-nominated female country singer with five nods.
