Triston Harper – A Top 5 Finalist On Season 22 Of American Idol – Is Now A Dad
American Idol Season 22 fan favorite Triston Harper, 17, is officially a dad, according to a Facebook post from his mother, Hattie Sullivan.
On June 23, Sullivan wrote, “Everybody my Grand Baby has made her Grand Entrance …. weighing a solid 6lbs and 6 ounces Brenley Lichelle Harper Has now arrived on the scene and she ain’t here to play. She’s already in boss mode!!!!! Feed me, Change me, Cut that bright light out. Yes ma’am whatever you want G MA is gonna make it happen!!!!!”

Harper and his girlfriend Paris Reed for married on November 6, 2024 and just two days later, Sullivan announced the newly married couple was also expecting their first child.
She captioned a photo of Triston and Paris holding a pregnancy test, “Now Everybody has congratulated me on Triston and Paris getting married but to me that is old news. Now I’m bout to be a ‘G Ma.'”

While Harper kept details under wraps, he did post a video to his Facebook page revealing that they were expecting a baby girl.

Triston’s Journey On American Idol
Triston was just 15 years old when he auditioned for Season 22 of American Idol. He impressed the judges with his deep, Southern voice, and his incredible manners, so much so that they couldn’t believe he was just 15. Triston, who hails from McIntosh, Alabama, auditioned with Jason Isbell’s “Cover Me Up.”

Throughout the competition, he performed songs by Blake Shelton, Elvis Presley, Morgan Wallen, Adele, and more. He was eliminated following Disney night, where he performed Rascal Flatts’ “Life Is A Highway” and “Almost There” from Princess and the Frog.
On the season finale, Harper performed “‘Til You Can’t” with Cody Johnson.
