Another familiar face has joined the cast of Reba McEntire’s new sitcom, Happy’s Place.

In Happy’s Place, McEntire will not only star but also serve as an executive producer. The storyline follows her character, Bobbie, as she inherits her father’s restaurant after his passing. The plot thickens when she discovers that her business partner is actually her long-lost half-sister.

Melissa Peterman, another “Reba” alum, reunites with McEntire, portraying Gabby, a bartender at Bobbie’s newfound establishment. Additionally, Belissa Escobedo plays Bobbie’s long-lost half-sister, and Reba’s real-life boyfriend Rex Linn will share the screen as Emmett, a cook at the tavern who is described as a man of few words.

McEntire also revealed that she will sing the theme song for the new show. She previously sang “I’m a Survivor,” which was the theme for her Reba sitcom.

Yellowstone Star Joins The Cast

Now, the newest member to join the cast is Tokala Black Elk, known for his role on the Paramount series Yellowstone and his appearance in the limited series “1883.” On Yellowstone, Black Elk played Sam Stands Alone, the neighbor of Kayce Dutton and his family, including his wife Monica and son Tate, when they lived on the Broken Rock Indian Reservation.

According to Deadline, Tokala will play Takoda, a waiter at the tavern with “serious handyman skills and probably the kindest person you’ve ever met.”

NBC released the show’s first trailer on May 14. The one-minute clip gives fans their first glimpse into the new show.

In the trailer, we see Bobbie and Isabella discovering that their father left his restaurant to both of them. While this excites Isabella, it leaves Bobbie feeling panicked, especially after learning that she has a half sister she didn’t know about.

The trailer also briefly shows interactions between Bobbie and Gabby, as well as a conversation between Bobbie and the cook, played by Linn.
