A Rare Mistake On Last Week’s Episode Of Yellowstone Was Caught By Fans
With characters dying in nearly every episode and the end of the final season quickly approaching, it is time for some light-hearted Yellowstone news.
After a two-year hiatus due to Kevin Costner’s departure from the show, rewrites, and the SAG-AFTRA strikes, the series returned in November. Its latest episode, “Counting Coup,” aired on December 1st, and it included a hilarious slip-up.
The mistake is pictured below.

If you didn’t notice, both of the license plates are the same. Also, based on the visual appearance of the scene, it seems like they were in Montana at the time. So you’d expect at least one of the plates would be from Montana. But, at the very least, they wouldn’t be the exact same plate number.
It’s also somewhat amusing. Unlike the mistake made by Game of Thrones, which featured a 21st-century Starbucks cup left on the screen during the final season, this is not a glaring oversight. The cup was actually visible in the episode and was released to the public.
The license plate error was made even more glaring considering the soccer field scene. While the little girl wore what appeared to be a Houston-based soccer jersey, the soccer scene depicted mountains, a feature not commonly found in Texas.
