Mamie Laverock, known for her role as Rosaleen Sullivan on When Calls The Heart, has made a significant recovery milestone, returning home following her fall off a five-story balcony.
The 20-year-old actress was first taken to the hospital by her mother on May 11 for an undisclosed medical issue. She later moved to St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, where her family anticipated a one-month stay. Tragically, on May 26, Mamie fell from a five-story balcony, suffering critical injuries that required life support.
Her mother, Nicole, later told the LA Times during a phone interview that the fall was “not intended” but described it as a “negligence-type case.”

After months of recovery and multiple surgeries, including two extensive 11-hour procedures, Mamie’s health update revealed that she was “doing well.” And now, she has now returned home from the hospital.
Mamie’s family announced her homecoming on her official Facebook page on August 19. The post featured a photo of a handmade ‘Home Sweet Home’ sign with Mamie’s picture, captioned:
“Dreams do come true. Welcome Home Mamie.”
The page also replied to a comment on the post, revealing that Mamie was still “severely injured” and the family planned to “take care of her privately.”
“She needed to be at home. So happy for her. She made it this far…next chapter. It’s a blessing to have her home.”
This update follows a recent video shared on August 2, where Mamie took her first steps since the accident. The caption of the video read:
“Thank you surgeons, thank you prayers, thank you Lord. Mamie has just taken her first steps.”
We are so happy to hear that Mamie is now home. We are sending our prayers out to her during this difficult healing time.
