The couple spoke to PEOPLE about their growing family, saying, “We are just so excited and so over the moon to be having a baby together,” Demi-Leigh said. Tim added that he’s “honored for the privilege of getting the responsibility and the joy of being mom and dad.”
When asked about how the other will be as a parent, Tim predicts that his wife will be a “fierce defender and protector.”
“She will be extremely loyal and loving. Demi is someone that is extremely determined. When she sets her mind to something, she goes all the way in — and I know that she will do that as a mom, too,” Tim said.
Demi returned the praise, saying that Tim’s wisdom and thoughtfulness is something she hopes they can instill in their child.
Due around the first of July, Demi has officially entered her second trimester and says she is feeling much better than she did at the beginning of her pregnancy. “The amount of tiredness that you feel is just unfathomable,” she shared.
Tim Tebow and Demi-Leigh’s Relationship Timeline
Tim Tebow first met Demi-Leigh in 2018 through his charity, Night To Shine, a prom event for people with special needs. Demi, a former Miss South Africa who was crowned Miss Universe in 2017, was attending one of the annual events with her sister who had been diagnosed with a rare neurological condition.
Tim recalled that he knew immediately upon meeting Demi that she was someone special. A few months later they went public with their relationship.
