You never know who you might run into in the hustle and bustle of New York City – especially around the holidays. One family had a hilarious surprise when none other than Kelly Clarkson photobombed their kickline video in Rockefeller Center.
Marc Jordan Cohen and family were visiting New York City and were completing a scavenger hunt for their niece’s birthday. One of the tasks was to perform a Rockette-style kickline in front of the famed Radio City Music Hall.
The video, originally posted to TikTok on December 8th, shows the family giving their best attempt at high kicks. Kelly Clarkson, dressed in a red beanie and sunglasses, appears on the left side of the frame, notices the group dancing, and stops in her tracks. She is visibly confused as she looks around, then spots the camera and backs away slowly.
Cohen captioned the video:
“Can’t believe @kellyclarkson just photobombed our silly family kickline 💀💀”
The of Kelly Clarkson’s hilarious interruption goes viral.
Cohen said that they did not realize who their photobomber was until after she had walked away. They shared the clip to TikTok and tagged Kelly Clarkson with hopes that she would see it. The video has since gone viral, amassing over 1.7 million views as of December 11th. Hundreds of comments have poured in including one from Kelly Clarkson herself. She wrote:
“I didn’t see what y’all were doing until it was too late ha! My bad 🤦♀️😂💁🏼♀️”
Cohen, who was clearly not upset about the accidental photobomb and excited about the message from Clarkson, responded:
“KELLY!! We just wish we asked you to join us!!😭”
Kelly Clarkson recently relocated to New York City.
Kelly Clarkson is now a New York resident after recently relocating her family and her daytime talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show from Los Angeles to New York City. She recalls that she was very apprehensive about uprooting her life in California but knew that she “needed a fresh start.”
