Scotty & Gabi McCreery Recently Welcomed Their Second Child
Scotty McCreery and his wife, Gabi, are adjusting to life as parents of two.
The country music couple announced back in May that they were expecting their second child.
They revealed the big news with a set of photos on social media. In the shots, Scotty and Gabi are wearing matching white T-shirts and jeans, while their son Merrick “Avery”, who turns three in October, wears a blue long-sleeve shirt with the words “Big Brother” on it.
“A new best friend coming this fall! 💙💙” the caption read.
On September 23, Scotty and Gabi announced the safe arrival of their newest family member, sharing that they officially welcomed their second son on September 18. They named their new bundle of joy Oliver Cooke McCreery.

Of course, Scotty and Gabi’s lives have gotten a lot busier with a newborn at home. During an appearance on the Big D & Bubba radio show, the “Five More Minutes” singer gave fans an update on how they’re adjusting.
“It’s been a whirlwind the last few days,” Scotty said.
He admitted that right now, they’re in the stage where he is limited on how much he can do, since Gabi is breastfeeding.
“I’ve told her [Gabi] if you need help, wake me up.” He added, “There’s only so much that I can do at this point as I’m not equipped to help out, totally.”
Scotty was also asked if he and Gabi might want more children in the future.
“We’ll see down the road, ya know? All in God’s plan. But right now, we’re just trying to catch up on sleep. We’ve gone from zone defense to man-to-man, so we’re all over the house.”
Thankfully, Scotty will be around to help however he can for the next several weeks. According to his official website, he doesn’t head back out on tour until early November.
