Meet Scotty McCreery & His Wife Gabi’s Baby Boy, Merrick “Avery”
Scotty McCreery and his wife, Gabi, welcomed their first child in October. They had a baby boy, and named him Merrick “Avery” McCreery. His first name is in honor of Gabi’s dad, who is also named Merrick.
As the months have passed, Scotty and Gabi have kept their followers updated by sharing new photos of Avery from time to time.

Back in May, Scotty shared a video of Avery seemingly repeating an exact phrase he said. Scotty was shocked, because it really sounded like his seven-month-old son said a full sentence!

Gabi happened to be filming at the time. Scotty shared the video on social media, and captioned it, “Avery skipping over first words and going straight to sentences??”

Eight-month-old Avery celebrated his first 4th of July with his mom and dad on Tuesday. Scotty marked the occasion by sharing two adorable photos of his son in the cutest patriotic attire.

The outfit Avery was wearing had white and blue stripes. A sailboat with a yellow dog watching fireworks was sewn onto the front. This outfit was extra adorable to see on Avery since the dog resembles the McCreery family’s trusty pup, Moose!
One of the photos Scotty shared shows Avery next to Moose for a direct comparison.
The other photo Scotty posted shows him, Gabi, and Avery smiling for the camera in front of two American flags. See that picture in Scotty’s post below.
