After six years of dating, American Idol winner Scotty McCreery and Gabi Dugal have tied the knot. The couple wed Saturday (June 16) in a stunning mountain top ceremony in North Carolina.

The couple are currently enjoying their honeymoon in Bora Bora, but when they return they will begin the process of moving in together, something they’re both excited about but admit will come with a challenge.
“We haven’t moved in together yet so I’m living with my guys and she’s living with one of her best friends,” McCreery told PEOPLE before admitting that it will be a nice change to return from concert dates to have his wife waiting for him instead of “three motley dudes.”
Scotty confessed that one big challenge awaits the couple as they begin their lives together under one roof. “We’re both not the cleanest people in the world, so we gotta work on that. It’s a challenge I’m looking forward to!”
McCreery and Dugal exchanged vows in front of more than 200 of their loved ones in a ceremony that capped a weekend of festivities for the couple that included a Cajun-style shrimp boil on Thursday night and a rehearsal dinner on Friday.
For the ceremony that was officiated by McCreery’s childhood pastor, Dugal wore a stunning white sleeveless gown with a plunging neck line designed by Morilee.
The bride and her new groom, both 24 years old, danced their first dance as husband and wife to Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” The impressive reception menu featured Cajun cuisine as an ode to the bride’s Louisiana roots. And, as predicted by the groom in a recent interview, guests feasted on an assortment of southern pies instead of traditional wedding cake.
“I kept it very classic,” said Dugal. “I went with greenery and white flowers, some lanterns and candle votives [for a] rustic feel. We fell in love with the mountains during the summertime, and our [venue] is like a little castle in the woods.”
