Connie Britton Is Engaged – Meet Her Fiancé David Windsor
Congratulations are in order for Connie Britton, because she recently got engaged!
PEOPLE confirmed that the Nashville star and her longtime love, writer and producer David Windsor, got engaged after being together for six years.
The publication shared a photo that shows Britton and Windsor embracing at the airport in Los Angeles. You could spot a ring on Britton’s left ring finger in the photo.
Windsor is known as the co-executive producer on TV series such as This Is Us and Not Dead Yet. He also served as a co-executive producer on the recently released Hulu series, The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox.
Britton first saw Windsor at a friend’s birthday party in 2019. She recalled the story of their first meeting during an interview with SiriusXM’s Radio Andy in 2023.
“I walked into his party and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I don’t know a single soul at this party…’ And so I’m talking to my friend, and he looks past me and he sees David across the room and he is like, ‘There’s someone here you have to meet.’ And it was like, I’ll never forget that moment because I turned around and I looked at who he was pointing at and I was like, ‘Oh yeah, I wanna meet him.‘”

Although Britton didn’t meet Windsor that night, she asked her friend to have him e-mail her. He did, and the rest is history!
Both Windsor and Britton have been married before. Britton was previously married to John Britton from 1991 to 1995.
During an interview she granted to Parade in March 2025, Britton shared why Windsor was such a great partner for her.
“What I was really looking for was a partnership where there’s constant growth, on both sides, and a sort of deepening of each other. It’s not just like, ‘Oh, I found true love,‘” she said. “It’s that I found somebody who I can walk on a journey with that is going to be constantly ever-changing.”
