Back in March 2020, these 31 singers followed direct orders to stay at home, which impacted their every day job.
They are all session singers with Ten Two Six Music Group and have sung at the Nashville Christmas Parade, Katy Perry’s Cozy Little Christmas, Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, SeaWorld, and many more places.
Because they couldn’t go into the studio to record, David Wise, who leads this group of singers, had the idea to put together an inspiring video to try and lift people up during this time of uncertainty. He had each of his singers record themselves perform a song he arranged and he put all the videos together to make it sound like they were actually all together when the reality was much different.
Once he finished, Wise put the video on the group’s Facebook page for all to see. When you press play, you will see that they are calling themselves a “cell phone choir,” which is how each singer recorded themselves!
The post from the singing group read, “31 of Nashville’s Studio Singers using their cell phones during Nashville’s Safer at Home order to record and lift their collective voices to share a message of hope and encouragement during these challenging days. It is well.”
Performing the gospel song “It Is Well With My Soul,” several singers sang solos and were able to display their incredible talent. What really got us, though, was towards the end when all 31 singers’ faces were on the screen singing many different parts of harmony.
