Animals are definitely wagging their tales in shelters across the United States after this donation! Country singer Miranda Lambert‘s MuttNation Foundation donated $189,000 to 50 animal shelters across the country.
“I am amazed and humbled by the great work these shelters do, and so honored to be able to support their critical efforts on behalf of rescue animals,” said Lambert in a press release according to CMT.
Since the inception of MuttNation, Lambert and her mother Bev have donated an accumulated $775,000 to 200 shelters across America.
“On behalf of the animals in our care, you have our deepest gratitude,” Lisa Pearce – a recipient from Charleston Animal Society – wrote in note sent Lambert. “What a wonderful surprise to receive your certificate, letter and generous donation to Charleston Animal Society. We are celebrating five years of being the first no-kill open admission shelter in the Southeast and will make sure your kindness goes toward lifesaving our sweet shelter dogs and cats.”
Each animal shelter is set to recieve $3,000 to $5,000 each from Lambert’s generous donation.
