Beau joins big brother, Tex Lawrence, who was born on June 19, 2022.
In a recent interview with Katie Neal on the Superstar Power Hour, Luke Combs said that “ready is not the word” he was feeling while preparing for the new baby’s arrival.
“It’s not twice the work, it’s like, five times the work,” he said of doubling his kid count.
He added that he and wife, Nicole, have being parents to one child down to an art, but that he knows that they will figure out a new normal without the help of a nanny of babysitter.
“It’s going to be a challenge because we don’t have nannies or any of that stuff,” he told the host. “We’ve thought about it, and it’s not a question of ‘Can we afford that?’ It’s a question of ‘Do we want that for our kids?’ And right now, at this time, I don’t think that’s something that we’re really interested in because I want our kids to have as normal of a life as possible considering the circumstances. I’d rather them be riding bikes than riding a tour bus.”
Nicole and Luke shared the news that they were expecting their second baby in a social media post made in March. In that post they wrote that baby #2 was due in September, meaning that little Beau just couldn’t wait to to meet his family and arrived a little early.
