Lisa Robertson Shared An Update On Her Cancer Journey During Most Recent Podcast
Lisa Robertson, who is known for her role on Duck Dynasty, announced her cancer diagnosis on April 5th.
She is a regular on the family podcast Unashamed. The most recent episode, released on October 23rd, featured Lisa sharing an update on her cancer journey.
She is doing well!
In her own words, she said, “I am doing excellent. Again, I would say that’s because of prayer. God has answered all the prayers for my well-being.”
She also explained in detail what the process has looked like for her. She said that the doctors found a tumor that was “confined to a very small space.” This means the cancer has not yet spread to other areas of the body, which is a very good sign.
It also means that cancer could be removed surgically.

She shared what happened after her surgery and how she is handling her recovery. In her own words:
“You know, after you have this done — they took tissue from my stomach, put it in my breast, and after that happens, it settles, because it’s growing together. It’s growing in its new area.”
She continued to say:
“Then he goes back in and he fixes all the scar tissue, and then I got [liposuction.] So they do lipo on my hips and the bottom parts of my legs, to fill in where the tissue has kinda readjusted itself, to make [my breasts] look more normal, I guess you would say.”
Lisa Robertson Shared How Her Faith Has Encouraged Her Through Cancer
Lisa Robertson has been keeping her fans updated throughout her cancer journey on her blog.
She expressed in her post what it felt like to receive a cancer diagnosis.
“In my old life, back before God snatched me violently out of the fire I had jumped into, I might have given into despair. And to be honest with everyone, I was tempted. When a woman’s doctor utters those horrid words, your mind can’t help but surrender to the fear of the unknown.”
After she shared her initial fear, she went on to explain how God had calmed her fear.
“However, it wasn’t long before I began to think about my situation from another perspective, an eternal. And because God had been speaking to me for many years (or should I say that I finally began to listen to him many years ago?), I was able to sort this all out and approach it with confidence”
