Musicians Lauren Alaina and Kane Brown share more than just a talent for country music. They both grew up in Georgia and met during choir class at Lakeview Middle School. Fast forward nearly two decades, and they have both found success following their music career dreams.
Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina’s popular duet “What Ifs” was released in 2017 and quickly found the favor of fans. It took up residence at the top of both Billboard Country Charts and reached the 26th spot on the Hot 100 cross-genre chart.
“What Ifs” experienced a resurgence when the duo teamed up for a steamy performance of the song during the 2018 ACM Awards the following year. Ultimately, it ranked #6 on the decade-end Hot Country Songs Chart.
“What Ifs” Certified Diamond By The RIAA
In February, Kane surprised his friend Lauren with the exciting news that “What Ifs” had been certified Diamond by the RIAA. This signifies more than 10 million units of the song have been sold.
“What Ifs” is only the twelfth country song to reach this status, joining the likes of Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise,” Luke Combs’s “Hurricane,” and Darius Rucker’s “Wagon Wheel.”

Lauren Alains Surprises The Crowd In Nashville
Over the weekend, Kane Brown headlined two back-to-back concerts at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena as a part of The High Road Tour. Dasha and Scotty McCreery were openers for the show.
