During a visit to Las Vegas for a performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, Kelly Clarkson surprised an unsuspecting fan on the street.
Kelly Clarkson detailed the encounter on Instagram explaining that she was on her way to rehearse for her performance on Saturday (September 23) and was giving a tip to a street performer singing Tina Turner. The performer then invited Kelly Clarkson to sing, not knowing that who she was.

Video shows Kelly singing Turner’s 1984 hit “What’s Love Got To Do With It” as the street performer dances along. When the woman turns to the American Idol champ and realizes who she is, the shock is evident.
“I was on my way to soundcheck for @iHeartRadio tonight in Vegas and was tipping this incredible woman killing some Tina Turner and then she asked me to sing and had no clue who I was, and then it hit her, and it made my day! She gives the best hugs and sings her tail off!” Clarkson wrote.

Several hours later, Kelly Clarkson took the stage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival to sing a full set.
Clarkson’s appearance at the iHeartRadio Festival came one month after wrapping her Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood’s Bakkt Theater. During the residency, Kelly’s two kids joined her to sing “Whole Lotta Woman” and “Since U Been Gone.”
“It was the most magical thing to be on stage [with them] — I didn’t know it was going to happen,” Clarkson said of their appearance. “But how my kids were looking at me? They had so much fun on stage, first of all. But then how they were looking at me was like I was Thor! I literally was like, ‘Oh my God, they’re literally never going to look at me like this again.'”
