Kelly Clarkson was among an impressive lineup of stars who visited The Voice stage to celebrate the Season 26 finale.
Kelly Clarkson, American Idol champ and former Voice coach, returned to her old stomping grounds Tuesday night (December 10) to sing during the 2-hour season finale episode. Clarkson took the stage to sing her latest holiday release, “You For Christmas.” The song, co-produced by Mark Ronson, was released as a single from her new deluxe edition of her hit holiday album, “When Christmas Comes Around…Again.”
Clarkson’s return to The Voice was celebrated by fans who consider her one of the best artists to ever occupy a red chair. The talk show host is one of only two Voice coaches to have won at least four titles. Kelly coached during seasons 14 through 21 and returned again for season 23.
Her four champions include Brynn Cartelli (Season 14), Chevel Shepherd (Season 15), Jake Hoot (Season 17), and Girl Named Tom (Season 21). She exited The Voice to move her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, and her family to New York City.
She admitted at the time that she wasn’t confident she was making the right decision.
“I’ll be real honest: I thought I was making a horrible decision,” she said. “I knew I needed a fresh start and couldn’t be in L.A. I really wanted to be in Montana, but you can’t really do a show from there quite yet. So I was like, ‘The only other option would probably be New York.’”
She has since declared her love for New York City and seems to have zero regrets about her big move.
