Kane Brown is a proud girl dad!
The “One Mississippi” singer and his wife, Katelyn, now have two daughters. Kingsley Rose was born in October 2019 and Kodi Jane was born in December 2021.
Kodi’s birth came as a surprise to the Browns’ followers…because the couple never publicly announced that Katelyn was pregnant.

When asked why Katelyn hid her second pregnancy, Kane explained it was because they wanted to keep some happy news to themselves for once. He recalled how in the past, big moments in their lives were revealed on social media before they got the chance to share the news.
“We want this [pregnancy to stay secret] to say that we’re having a baby on our own terms,” he said when explaining their reason for keeping the pregnancy under wraps.
But now that baby Kodi is here, Kane and Katelyn love talking about her and Kingsley every chance they get.

As for how Kingsley is handling her new role as a big sister, Kane says she’s “killin’ it.”
“I don’t know if she knows [Kodi’s] her sister yet, but she is killin’ it,” Kane told Audacy‘s Mo & StyckMan. “Every time the baby cries…she’s like, ‘*gasp* Baby!’ She’s like, ‘daddy, Daddy — baby!'”
Kane also recalled a sweet story of one time when Kingsley rushed to help when Kodi started crying:
“The other day…Kate was holding [Kodi] on the couch and the baby started crying,” Kane said. “There was an empty bottle that Kate literally just fed her…[Kingsley] jumped up and got the bottle off of the table and gave it to Kodi.”
