John Michael Montgomery Has An Adorable New Granddaughter – Daughter Madison Welcomes First Child With Travis Denning
Congratulations are in order for Travis Denning and his wife, Madison Montgomery Denning, as they just welcomed a baby girl!
Travis is a country artist who released his debut single, “David Ashley Parker from Powder Springs,” in 2018. The following year (2019), he scored his first #1 hit with “After a Few.”
Madison is the daughter of country music legend John Michael Montgomery. The “Sold” singer walked her down the aisle when she married Travis on May 20, 2023, at The Estate at Cherokee Dock in Lebanon, Tennessee.
“It was a beautiful and emotional weekend walking my daughter down the aisle,” John Michael said in a post on social media after the ceremony. “I am so blessed to be her Dad. Welcome to the family Travis Denning.”
Madison has another connection to the country music community through her uncle Eddie of Montgomery Gentry.

In March, Travis and Madison Denning announced they were expecting their first baby. They shared the news alongside a series of photos that show Travis resting his hands on Madison’s baby bump.
They also announced they were having a daughter, writing, “Baby girl Denning arriving July 2025.”

On Monday (July 14), Travis and Madison announced the birth of their baby girl. They also revealed their daughter’s name: Charlotte Lane Denning.
They paired their announcement with two photos. The first shows baby Charlotte wrapped up in a monogrammed swaddle with a big bow on the front. The second picture shows Travis and Madison smiling at the camera while Madison held their daughter in her arms.

The couple’s announcement received lots of love from their famous friends.
“So happy for yall!! Congrats mama and daddy,” wrote Jake Owen.
Tenielle Townes said, “Aw congrats you guys!!!”
Lauren Alaina, who recently welcomed a daughter herself, wrote, “Perfection.”
“I’m so so happy for you three!! The love you are about to experience,” said HARDY’s wife, Caleigh. They also welcomed a baby girl this year.
Of course, Travis and Madison’s announcement received an affectionate response from Madison’s dad, John Michael. He shared their post on his Instagram Story and said, “So happy to be a grandpa!“
John Michael also introduced his granddaughter on his main Instagram feed. He shared two pictures that show him and his wife, Crystal, visiting Charlotte in the hospital.
“I am a Grandpa! Say hello to Charlotte,” he wrote.

John Michael’s Son, Walker Montgomery, Recently Got Engaged
The Montgomery family has more than one reason to celebrate right now. John Michael’s son, country singer Walker Montgomery, recently got engaged!
Walker’s new fiancée is Krista Slaubaugh, who performs in the ACM Award-winning country duo Tigirlily Gold with her sister, Kendra.
Walker proposed next to a pond in the Blue Ridge Mountain forests of North Carolina.
“Obviously, there were some happy tears, but after the proposal I felt such excitement and joy,” Krista told PEOPLE. “We had known for a while now that we wanted to spend our lives together, so the main feeling was joy and excitement. I couldn’t have imagined it more perfect.”

After Madison and Travis announced that baby Charlotte was born, Krista reacted to their post, writing, “Auntie Krista is so happy for you guys. She’s perfect.”
Walker celebrated his niece’s birth on his Instagram Story, saying, “I’m an uncle!”
