Jelly Roll’s daughter, Bailee Ann, recently shared a clip of a very personal song she wrote.
Jelly Roll’s 16-year-old daughter has been writing music and singing from a very young age, obviously inspired by her superstar dad.
For example, when she was just 10, she co-wrote part of her dad’s song “Tears Could Talk” and even sang on the track with him for his 2020 album A Beautiful Disaster.

Over the years, Bailee has stayed passionate about music, but she keeps it pretty private.
She rarely shares the songs she writes or sings publicly. The few times we have seen Bailee perform live mostly include moments when she has joined her father on stage to sing with him.

But lately, it seems she’s starting to feel more comfortable with the idea of performing solo.
At the beginning of the month, Bailee shared a video on TikTok giving fans a rare glimpse of one of her original songs.
The clip opens with Bailee playing an acoustic guitar. She then begins singing the lyrics to a song that appears to be called “Fat In High School.”
“i literally just wrote this and idk if i like the end yet but enjoy & lmk ur thoughts!!” she captioned the video.
The song’s lyrics explore feeling out of place as a teenager due to being overweight and the insecurities that come with it.
Bailee’s song really connected with a lot of people. Fans flooded the comments, praising her for being vulnerable enough to share something so personal.
Many also shared their own experience of feeling the same way growing up.
“Girl!!! Get in that studio!!!! You’re sooooo good, you got that country twang,” a fan commented.
“i love this and i felt this 20 years ago,” another shared.
“Love the lyrics, I am a woman of a certain age but I remember feeling this exact way,” someone wrote. “I think in my late 30s is when I finally stopped giving a sh** what others thought about MY body! I wish I felt that way sooner…great song girlie you are killing it.”
