For two weeks, Oliver Anthony‘s viral hit “Rich Men North of Richmond” sat at the #1 spot on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart. When “Rich Men” debuted at #1 on the Hot 100, it made Anthony the first artist “to launch atop the list with no prior chart history in any form.”
The song experienced a 31% increase in streams in its second week. This was another monumental feat. Billboard reports out of 34 songs to debut at #1 on the Hot 100 this decade, “Rich Men” was just the second to experience an increase in streams in its second week.

Moving into the next week, listeners were curious to see if “Rich Men North of Richmond” would hold on to its #1 spot on the Hot 100 for a third week. After all, there’s still a ton of momentum behind the song. As of this writing, the viral performance video on the radiowv YouTube channel has 58 million views and is the #1 top music video on the site.

The new #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 is “I Remember Everything” by Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves. It also topped the Hot Country Songs chart. The song comes from Bryan’s new, self-titled album, which also reached #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
“I Remember Everything” marks the first time either Bryan or Musgraves have earned a #1 Hot 100 or Hot Country Songs hit.
Remarkably, it’s just the second male/female duet to share the #1 spot on the Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs charts. The only other song to achieve the same feat was Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers‘ “Islands in the Stream.”
Breaking Down The Numbers Behind “I Remember Everything” And Its Premiere At #1
Billboard, citing data from Luminate, states that “I Remember Everything” generated 33.7 million streams in the tracking week ending in August 31. The song also sold 10,000 downloads during that time.
Despite not being formally promoted to radio, “I Remember Everything” earned 263,000 radio airplay audience impressions.
