John Schneider Sues Late Wife’s Daughter To Stop The Sale Of Memorbila From Projects In His Career, Including The Dukes Of Hazzard

Dukes of Hazzard actor John Schneider filed a lawsuit to stop the sale of memorabilia related to his career. According to the Lousiana-based news station KARK, Schneider sued Maven Entertainment, the business that belonged to his late wife, Alicia Allain. She ran the business in partnership with Schneider’s movie studio and her daughter, Jessica Dollard.

Schneider asked his fans to call two companies he claims Dollard hired to sell items on the property he ran with Allain.

He alleges Maven Entertainment obtained his assets “under false pretenses or simulated transactions as part of a 2017 contract.” He also claimed he still holds an interest in items the company possessed.

Schneider does not own the property with the studio buildings containing the memorabilia. But he hopes to own the property by the end of the year.

Schneider owned the property at one point, but it was seized in 2019. Capitol City Produce owner Paul Ferachi bought it then, and said he’d work with Schneider to make sure he still had access. Schneider later said he had a deal with the property’s new owner.

A listing on the Livingston Parish Tax Assessor’s map shows FEFEA Industries owns the property. KARK reports Dollard is listed as a member of FEFEA Industries.

According to KARK, Schneider filed his lawsuit against Maven Entertainment and his stepdaughter on Thursday, July 11. The attached proposal for arbitration “asked that the property being contested not be sold until the arbitration was finalized.”

KARK also states Maven Entertainment and Dollard had not filed a response at the time of their article’s publication on Tuesday (July 23)

Schneider’s Wife, Alicia Allain, Died In 2023

Schneider and Allain married in 2019. Allain previously worked with Schneider as a production partner and manager.

Allain died in February 2023 following a battle with cancer. Schneider recently claimed that the urn containing her ashes was stolen from his home.

Additionally, the former Dancing with the Stars and Masked Singer contestant told his fans his wedding ring, a cross, and an urn necklace were also stolen.

Allain did not have a will. Court records obtained by KARK show her daughter, Dollard, asked to be named the executor of her estate in December.

What Is Happening With John Schneider’s Lawsuit?

Schneider’s lawsuit addresses two websites listed by M&E Partners and Integra Asset Solutions. KARK reports, “The companies were working together on the sale of the contents at the property.

The outlet added:

Counsel for M&E Partners issued a statement saying the company and Integra Asset Solutions were legally hired by the current property owner to sell certain items on the acreage. They said they have cataloged what’s there but have not moved anything.”

According to KARK, the items listed for sale included a replica of the General Lee car from The Dukes of Hazzard. Other items listed included a “collection of authentic movie props, costumes, original scripts, autographed memorabilia, and rare collectibles.”

After pressure from Schneider’s fans, both websites listing the memorabilia were removed.

“I want to personally thank everyone who took part in this campaign to stop these people from selling off my belongings,” Schneider said.

Additionally, Schneider’s attorney released a statement, which KARK quoted:

“John Schneider is saddened by the reckless actions of those who continue to cause unnecessary strife after the untimely death of his wife. John has for months attempted to find a way to resolve issues regarding multiple items in an orderly fashion, but his efforts have been repeatedly rebuffed. Attempts are now being made to usurp his personal belongings. He will continue to defend what he has worked hard for. He appreciates all the well wishes from his fans as he fights for justice.”

M&E’s counsel also released a statement, which read in part:

Since the announcement of this sale process, [M&E has] been inundated with threatening phone calls, text messages, and emails. Social media posts on Mr. Schneider’s site and others have resulted in an alarming number of threats of violence, harassment, and intimidation against their families and livelihoods.”
