Dan + Shay Returned to ‘The Voice’ Stage to Perform During the Season 26 Finale
During the season finale, country duo Dan + Shay performed their popular holiday song “Officially Christmas.”
On Tuesday night, December 10, The Voice crowned its Season 26 winner. Leading up to the announcement of this season’s champion, a two-night event featured incredible performances from multiple artists.
Former coaches Kelly Clarkson and Dan + Shay took the stage, along with country stars Riley Green and Ella Langley, and former Voice winners Asher HaVon and Huntley. Carly Pearce also made a special appearance to debut her new duet with Michael Bublé, titled “Maybe This Christmas.”
Dan + Shay made their debut as coaches on The Voice in Season 25, quickly becoming fan favorites on the coaching panel. However, it was announced before the season ended that they would not be returning for Season 26. While the duo never shared an official reason for their departure, their Heartbreak On The Map Tour was likely a factor, as scheduling conflicts may have made it difficult to film the show.

Dan + Shay Released Their First-Ever Christmas Album In October
The album is titled It’s Officially Christmas after the 2021 holiday single. And, to fans’ surprise, it turned out to be a double release, featuring 21 songs.
The album not only includes the track that the Grammy-winning duo performed on The Voice, but it also features holiday classics like “Silent Night” and “Jingle Bell Rock.” Additionally, Dan + Shay added a personal touch with a few original songs on the album, such as “Break Up On Christmas” and “Save the Snowman.”
During their performance for The Voice’s live finale, Dan + Shay took the stage with a setup that brought plenty of Christmas spirit to the night. Dressed in formal attire, the duo delivered a rendition of the holiday lyrics we all know and love this time of year.
