Country singer Chris Young discussed his recent run-in with the law on a recent episode of his podcast, The Quad With Chris Young.
Chris Young, along with hosts Josh Gleave, Haley Mikenas, and Ryan Bass, talked about his arrest at a Nashville bar last month and the details surrounding the unfortunate event.
At 38 years old, Young found himself facing accusations of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and assaulting an officer during an incident with Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission agents.
The altercation occurred at a bar in Midtown Nashville, Tennessee. While an agent claimed that Young struck them on the shoulder, video footage raised doubts about the sequence of events. Surveillance cameras captured the agents moving towards the exit, with Young approaching and apparently speaking to them before an agent pushed him backward.
Despite the initial allegations, Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk later announced the dismissal of all charges against Young after reviewing the evidence.

“If everybody’s not already seen the video, obviously…I did absolutely nothing wrong,” Young said.
During the podcast, Young also touched upon the absence of public statements from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission, his week-long silence before his charges were dropped, and details from the night of his arrest.
“I didn’t ever think I would end up in jail in Nashville, and Metro (Nashville Police Department) was super polite and super nice,” Young said. “When the video came out everybody was like, ‘Oh absolutely not, that is not what happened.’ On Monday (January 22), it sounded like I’d sucker punched somebody, and on Wednesday (January 24), when the video came out, everybody’s like, ‘Oh, no, that’s not what happened at all.’ But it’s over now. We’re back.”
Recently, Young released “Double Down” as a token of gratitude to fans who supported him through his recent arrest.
