Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani Won’t Be Together On New Year’s Eve This Year
Blake Shelton and his wife, Gwen Stefani, won’t be celebrating New Year’s Eve together this year. Stefani explained the reason why during a recent interview with Access Hollywood.
It turns out that both Shelton and Stefani have gigs on New Year’s Eve. Stefani is performing in Las Vegas. On the other hand, Shelton was added to the lineup for New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash.
Other stars performing during the celebration include Lainey Wilson, HARDY, Morgan Wallen, and Cody Johnson. The special is set to air live on Sunday, December 31 starting at 7:30 PM ET on CBS.

Gwen Originally Didn’t Want To Spend New Year’s Eve In Vegas
Gwen Stefani told Access Hollywood she originally didn’t want to perform in Vegas on New Year’s Eve. She initially planned to be in Nashville with Blake Shelton:
“[But] Vegas called and wanted me to be in Vegas,” she said. “Last year I did Vegas and I was like, ‘Remind me to never do Vegas again.’ You kinda sometimes want to … not be the host.”
Stefani added:
“Then I was like, ‘Eh, I’m gonna do it. If [Blake’s] gonna be working then I’m gonna be working.’ So I’m just gonna fly in and out it’s gonna be awesome. I’m really looking forward to it.”
Shelton and Stefani have been married since July 3, 2021, and have been together for eight years total.
Although Shelton and Stefani won’t be together for New Year’s Eve, we hope they’ll get the chance to celebrate Christmas together. They previously released a romantic holiday duet called “You Make It Feel Like Christmas,” which you can watch them sing below.
Happy New Year to you and yours!
