After being in the hospital for eight days by the bedside of one of the most important people in her life, the wife of one of country music’s most-notable and iconic performers has spoken out to her fan base – and asked for prayers in her time of need.

Tish Cyrus, who has been married to “Achy Breaky Heart” singer Billy Ray Cyrus for more than 26 years, has always been a big part of his life and the life of their five children – many of whom are singers or musicians themselves. Because of this, she has grown her own fan base and followers, especially on social media. It was there that she reached out to the more than 1.2 million fans and asked them for help.
According to Tish’s heartfelt Instagram post, her mother has been hospitalized for more than a week with an unspecified condition or outlook. She shared two photos of her lying next to her mom in the hospital bed with daughter Noah on her other side. In another picture, she donned a fun puppy dog filter with her mom doing the same.
“Love my Momma so much it hurts. She’s been in the hospital for 8 days and its been one of [the] hardest things I’ve ever been through,” Tish explained in the caption.
Tish then explained her mother’s devout faith in Jesus and shared her own faith in the Lord and the gratitude and thankfulness for being able to have this remarkable woman as a parent.
“My Mom loves Jesus more than anyone I know and I know he’s walking through this with us every step of the way. I can see him so clearly through her. I’m so thankful that SHE was my Momma. Would love for you guys to keep us in your prayers!”
Over 40,000 people have reached out to her with love on the post and fellow celebrities like Linda Thompson have expressed their support during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tish and her mom for a speedy recovery.
