After weeks of competing, three American Idol contestants learned they are the finalists of their season. These three singers will compete for the winning title during the upcoming season finale.
Whoever wins will be following in the footsteps of previous champions such as Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Scotty McCreery, and Maddie Poppe.

On Sunday night’s (May 15) show, we saw the Top 5 singers deliver covers of Underwood’s songs. She also served as their mentor, offering them encouragement as they prepared for their performances.
The Top 5 soon became the Top 3 when it was revealed that HunterGirl, Noah Thompson, and Leah Marlene received the most votes. Viewers said “goodbye” to Nicolina and Fritz Hager, who were eliminated.

The finale is going to be jam-packed with performances from the contestants and celebrity guests. Some of those guests include Underwood, Barrett, Michael Buble, and Thomas Rhett. It was also announced that all three of the show’s judges will perform during the finale.
