But on Tuesday (May 24), the band announced that they are cancelling their June and July dates, and for a very serious reason.
Lead singer Steven Tyler, who has struggled for man years with his sobriety, has voluntarily checked himself into rehab.
Aerosmith made the announcement on social media.
“As many of you know, our beloved brother Steven has worked on his sobriety for many years. After foot surgery to prepare for the stage and the necessity of pain management during the process, he has recently relapsed and voluntarily entered a treatment program to concentrate on his health and recovery,” the statement read.
The post revealed that they plan to resume their residency in September 2022 and people who had tickets for the June and July dates will be refunded.
