Adam Levine Left The Voice After Season 16 – Now He’s Making His Return
After a multi-year hiatus, Adam Levine is making his grand return to The Voice.
Levine was one of the show’s original coaches. He, CeeLo Green, Christina Aguilera, and Blake Shelton made up the inaugural lineup.
Over the years, Levine and Shelton developed a fun rapport as rivals who also had a “bromance.” Their back-and-forth banter resulted in some downright hilarious moments.
Levine won The Voice a total of three times during his initial run on the show. He previously held the record for the second-most wins of any coach (Shelton has the most). Kelly Clarkson broke that record in 2021 when she secured her fourth Voice victory.
Fans were heartbroken when Levine left The Voice after Season 16. Shelton admitted he was also “having a hard time“ accepting the fact that Levine would no longer be a coach.
Since leaving, Levine has returned to the show as a guest, most notably to send off Shelton upon his own departure in 2023.
Levine Shares Excitement About Team Adam’s Comeback
After so many years, no one expected a Team Adam comeback. So Voice fans were understandably shocked when the Season 27 coaches were revealed, and Levine’s name was on the list!
Season 27, which kicks off in 2025, will feature Levine, John Legend, Michael Bublé, and Kelsea Ballerini as the coaches.
Levine is thrilled to be back on The Voice after his six-year break. He shared a video hyping up his return to the show next year:
“Yeah we’re back,” Levine said. “We’re coming back, I’m coming back, that’s what I mean. Season 27, yes, I’m coming back…I cannot wait. I’m well-rested, I’m ready to go…it’s gonna be awesome, let’s go. Team Adam is back…I’m really excited.”
