Just as there are ACM Awards to honor female and male vocalists, there are also categories set up to recognize duos and groups. In regards to the former, the award has been given to some of the most notable duos in country music history, including Brooks & Dunn, Sugarland, and The Judds.
When the 2018 nominees for the category were revealed, there was at least one surprise in store. That surprise came through the nomination of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
The reason why that nomination is so notable is because unlike the other nominees, McGraw and Hill aren’t an official duo. Take a look at all of the nominees:
Brothers Osborne
Dan + Shay
Florida Georgia Line
LOCASH
Tim McGraw & Faith Hill
At long last, we finally know the name of the 2018 ACM Vocal Duo of the Year. The winner was announced prior to the ceremony, and it is none other than…Brothers Osborne!

For the second year in a row, Brothers Osborne has been named the ACM Vocal Duo of the Year! It’s no surprise why.
This past year was a huge one for Brothers Osborne, who toured extensively and even got the chance to open for Chris Stapleton. During the past year they also took home two CMA Awards and were nominated for a Grammy.
Most recently, the duo released their brand-new single off of their upcoming album Port Saint Joe, titled “Shoot Me Straight.” The song has already made a decent showing, peaking at the 35th spot on the Hot Country Songs chart.
Congratulations to Brothers Osborne! Their win is definitely well-deserved!
