Zach Top Is One Of The Quickest-Rising Stars Country Music Has Seen In Recent Years
He is a newcomer but has gained the respect of legends, so much so that he was asked to participate in the Dean Dillon tribute concert, where he performed “Miami, My Amy.”
Nominated for New Artist of the Year at the CMA Awards, Zach Top burst on the scene in January 2024 with his songs “Sounds Like The Radio” and “I Never Lie” off his debut album Cold Beer & Country Music.
This singer, who hails from Sunnyside, Washington is currently on his very first headlining tour, the Cold Beer & Country Music Tour with openers Jake Worthington and Cole Goodwin. The tour kicked off on January 16th in Omaha, Nebraska. Due to the high demand of tickets, Top kept adding more dates!
What started as a 13-date tour, is now a 32-date tour!
During His Show In New Mexico, Zach Top Stopped The Show To Call Out Unruly Fans
Zach Top performed in Albuquerque, New Mexico on January 25th. During his 24-song set, where he covered George Strait, Merle Haggard, Keith Whitley, Randy Travis, Shenandoah, and Ricky Skaggs, he paused the show when he saw some fans fighting.
The fans were quite drunk and began pushing each other, eventually fighting, so Zach stood on stage and watched security take them out. After he sipped his drink, he said to the crowd, “If y’all want to start actin’ stupid, take it outside so I don’t have to stop another one of these songs.”
Fans immediately started cheering, ultimately agreeing with Top’s response to the situation that should never happen! Unfortunately, it happens all too often and Top is not the first singer to stop their concert due to unruly fans. From Tim McGraw to Carly Pearce to Scotty McCreery, so many singers have had to do this!
