Yellowstone fans were left wondering why Kelly Reilly, who portrays Beth Dutton in the series, didn’t show up at April’s PaleyFest event on Saturday (April 29). However, Reilly has recently shared with her followers on Instagram the reason why she couldn’t make it.
In response to a fan’s comment on Instagram, Reilly explained that she was filming in the UK at the time and had informed the organizers in January that she wouldn’t be able to attend.
Reilly expressed frustration and regret that her name was still included on the list of attendees, which may have given false hope to fans.
Along with Reilly, other confirmed attendees who were absent included creator Taylor Sheridan, executive producer David Glasser, and cast members Kevin Costner (John Dutton), Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler), Luke Grimes (Kayce Dutton), Kelsey Asbille (Monica Dutton), Wes Bentley (Jamie Dutton), Gil Birmingham (Thomas Rainwater) and Jacki Weaver (Caroline Warner).
The absence of key members of the cast and crew has now raised questions among fans about the future of the show. Adding to the uncertainty, a dispute surfaced in February over shooting schedules for the remaining eight episodes of Season 5.
Reports suggested that Costner was causing morale problems with his co-stars by wanting to limit himself to just one week of shooting. However, Costner’s attorney later refuted the claims, calling them “an absolute lie.”
Despite the drama, Yellowstone’s loyal fanbase remains hopeful for the show’s future. The midseason premiere date for Season 5 has not been announced yet, but fans are eagerly anticipating the return of their favorite characters and the continuation of the epic saga.
In the meantime, Yellowstone fans can rest easy knowing that Kelly Reilly and the rest of the cast and crew are hard at work on the upcoming season. And with the show’s signature mix of drama, romance, and action, it’s sure to be another thrilling ride through the rugged terrain of the American West.
