Hayden Panettiere is looking back on her time on the hit series Nashville and reveals if she’d ever be open to a reboot.
The series Nashville ran for six seasons from 2012 to 2018, and recently, it’s found new life after being added to Netflix’s streaming lineup.
Now that the show is back on people’s screens seven years later, the question naturally comes up: could there be a reboot in the future?
If that day ever comes, Hayden Panettiere, who played rising country star Juliette Barnes, says she would “absolutely” be a part of it.
“I’m not sure what I would want it to look like,” she admitted to Glamour, adding that “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
She went on to say how well the show managed to keep its wow factor throughout all six years.
“The storylines just continued to get juicier and juicier. They never ran out of material.”

Panettiere said she’s excited now that a new generation can watch the series, especially since the show had such a big impact on viewers when it first aired.
“People really, really loved that show,” she said. “They loved the human stories, the fact that it gives you kind of a peek into this Hollywood life. It was a show that resonated with so many people, and I love hearing about how my character impacted people in general, but especially women and young women going through the tumultuous stuff that Juliet constantly had to deal with.”
Her time playing Juliette Barnes was also unique compared to many of her other roles, since the character reflected much of what she was experiencing in her own life at the time.
“I played a character that had gone through very similar things to what I’ve gone through in my life,” she said. “In my life, there’s never a dull moment. So in Juliet’s life, I expect there to never be a dull moment either.”
“So yeah, fingers crossed,” Panettiere concluded. “Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”
As of now, fans will just have to wait and see if a Nashville reboot ever happens. It’s reassuring to know that one of the show’s former stars loves the idea, though!
