The nostalgically loved television special A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving will NOT be airing on TV this year in 2022, nor will it be airing on popular streaming platforms like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, or YouTube. However, we will show you where you can watch it!

The special first aired on CBS on November 20, 1973, and continued to air every year on that network (skipping 1982, 1983, and 1988) until November 23, 1989.

After that, The Disney Channel and Nickelodeon aired it on their channels throughout the entire 1990s but in 2001, CBS and ABC started to air it on their channels again every year until 2019.

In 2020, the special, along with the rest of the Peanuts shows, became exclusively aired on Apple TV+ under the terms of the agreement that Apple TV+ must provide a three-day window in November in which A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving is available to watch for free.

That hasn’t changed — so this year in 2022, Apple TV+ has announced again that the special will be available to watch for free from November 23-27.

After you’re finished watching A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, if you want to dive into the rest of the Peanuts catalog of shows, including It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, and A Charlie Brown Christmas, you can sign up for a 7-day free trial with Apple TV+ or just subscribe for $4.99 per month.

Apple TV+ says they will also make A Charlie Brown Christmas available for FREE streaming from Thursday, Dec. 22 until Christmas Day.

If you’d like to have your own copy of one of the Peanuts movies, you can buy the DVDs on Amazon, and when you do, many of them will be available for you to stream on demand.
