The nominees for the 2022 CMA Awards were announced on Wednesday morning (September 7). Several artists earned repeat nominations, but who scored the most nominations overall?

Rising star Lainey Wilson has secured the most nominations at this year’s CMA Awards, with a total of six. She was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Single of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, and Music Video of the Year.

Wilson said she was “speechless” when she learned about her six nominations. While I try to find the words just know that I’m blown away and so so honored and proud to be nominated. Thank you to the entire country music community!

Right behind Wilson with a total of five nominations each are Carly Pearce, Ashley McBryde, and Chris Stapleton. Miranda Lambert, Cody Johnson, and Luke Combs also earned their fair share of nominations, with a total of four nods each.

HARDY, Carrie Underwood, Midland, and Old Dominion were other big nomination earners. They each scored three nominations this year.

In some cases, an artist earns two nominations for the same award if they were both the artist and the producer/songwriter. That’s the case with some of these artists mentioned above. In HARDY’s case, he earned two nods as an artist and one as a co-writer of Morgan Wallen‘s “Sand In My Boots,” which was nominated for Song of the Year.
