In October, It Was Revealed That Kane And Katelyn Brown’s Hit Duet “Thank God” Would Be Turned Into Its Own Christmas Movie

This holiday season, fans of Kane and Katelyn Brown can see their hit duet “Thank God” brought to life as a Lifetime Christmas movie.

The song has been a huge success since it dropped in 2022. It was the first duet Kane and Katelyn released together, and it even hit number one on the Country Airplay chart. Before them, that had only ever been done once before by a married couple (Tim McGraw and Faith Hill for their 1997 duet “It’s Your Love”).

The duo also won Video of the Year at the 2023 CMT Awards for the song’s music video. So, with the video seeing so much love, turning it into a movie feels like the perfect next step!

“The song ‘Thank God’ is so special to us. We love performing it on stage and it’s incredible how it’s connected to so many fans,” the Browns said in a statement. “We also really love Christmas and celebrating as a family. So for these two worlds to collide, we couldn’t be more excited!”

So, what do we know about the Browns’ upcoming Lifetime movie? Well, for starters, the couple won’t appear in the film themselves.

Instead, they are serving as executive producers, and their song will, of course, be featured throughout.

Thank God: Christmas at Keller Ranch will star Arielle Kebbel and Tyler Hilton.

The movie follows professional hockey player Wes (played by Hilton), who must enter a rehabilitation center after a serious injury.

The center, called Keller Ranch, is where he meets Maggie Keller (played by Kebbel), an equine therapist and single mom who is grieving the loss of her husband.

Per PEOPLE, the official synopsis of the film is:

“After pro-hockey player Wes Campbell (Hilton), suffers an injury during a high-profile game just three weeks before Christmas, he is referred to Keller Ranch in Nashville to recover. There, he meets no-nonsense rancher Maggie Keller (Kebbel), a single mom to son Dawson (Eshan Lyall) and an equestrian-assisted therapist. Despite his initial skepticism, Wes is desperate to return to the ice and decides to give equine therapy a shot. As Maggie manages to break down Wes’ walls, he also helps her heal from the grief of her husband’s death. But as an unexpected romance blossoms between the two, will it go the distance or is it just a holiday fling?”

And when does Thank God: Christmas at Keller Ranch premiere, you ask?

Viewers will be able to tune in on Lifetime Saturday, December 13, at 8 pm ET. Until then, a first look at the movie has been released.
