Tate Renner’s Fate Has Been Decided On The Voice
The young country star who captured everyone’s hearts with his audition performance competed against Lauren-Michael Sellers and Danny Joseph in Reba McEntire’s Knockout round. Here are the results.
Renner started his time on The Voice with a very impressive blind audition. He sang “Hurricane” by The Band of Heathens’ and got a three-chair turnaround. The judges fought valiantly over the future country star, but the singer eventually chose McEntire.
Tate Renner’s Knockout Fate
After winning his battle round, Renner moved on to the knockouts and competed against two of his fellow McEntire teammates.
He competed against Sellers, who sang Lauren Daigle’s “Hold On To Me.” Watch her stunning performance below.

The third competitor during his knockout round was Joseph, who brought the heat with his blues performance. He sang a cover of “It Hurt So Bad” by Susan Tedeschi.

Last but not least, Renner took the stage with his guitar and sang “In Color” by Jamey Johnson.
The whole room sat in singular attention as Renner sang with his gravel voice. After his performance, the room erupted.
Michael Bublé said, “I love that. Your voice sounds like you have been smoking and drinking whiskey for 50 years.”
Snoop Dogg told the singer, “It felt good watching you perform tonight; you did an amazing job.”
Last but not least, Renner’s coach McEntire praised him highly, saying, “Tate, you did a wonderful job representing country music; I was proud of you.”
The competition at the knockout round was high, and each coach said all three performers did well, but they could only pick one winner. McEntire ended up giving the knockout round to Lauren-Michael Sellers, who moved on to the playoffs.
This marked the end of Renner’s time on The Voice, but not his career in country music, as McEntire hugged him and encouraged him to continue.
