Multiple Wildfires Wreak Havoc On Southern California
On January 7th, multiple wildfires broke out in Southern California’s Los Angeles County. Many residents were given little to no time to evacuate, and many were forced to leave their belongings behind as they fled their neighborhoods.
Some of the largest destruction occurred as a result of the Palisades Fire, which at present has burned over 23,000 acres and destroyed nearly 7,000 structures.
Thousands of residents have been displaced, and many are mourning the loss of their homes and the neighborhoods they once loved. As a result, pillars of the entertainment industry have come together to raise funds for fire relief and recovery efforts.
FireAid Concert Planned To Support Fire Victims
To support the thousands of citizens impacted by the Los Angeles fires, FireAid has announced a massive benefit concert. The show will take place simultaneously on January 30th at the Intuit Dome and the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.
Some of the biggest names in music will lend their time and talents to the cause. Jelly Roll is the only country artist currently set to perform. He is joined by the likes of Stevie Wonder, Rod Stweart, Sting, Stevie Nicks, and more. Additional artists, like Vince Gill and The Eagles, have pledged their support in other ways.
The FireAid concert aims to be an evening of “music and solidarity.” Live Nation and AEG Presents will donate proceeds through the Annenberg Foundation to be “distributed for short-term relief efforts and long-term initiatives to prevent future fire disasters throughout Southern California.”

Vince Gill And The Eagles Make Massive Contribution Towards Relief Efforts
According to Billboard, The Eagles, including Vince Gill, have pledged a generous donation of $2.5 million to FireAid ahead of the benefit concert. Irving Azoff, longtime manager of The Eagles, is a co-producer for the show.
At this time, it is unclear if the band will perform at the concert. Their contributions have spearheaded the fundraising and will hopefully inspire others to follow suit.
