Tim McGraw’s nephew, Timothy Wayne, is making waves in the country music scene with a significant career milestone: signing his first-ever record deal with UMG Nashville.
Tim McGraw’s Nephew Signs Record Deal
Hailing from Franklin, Tennessee, Wayne, a sophomore at Louisiana State University, is gearing up for an exciting journey as he prepares to release his debut album and make some thrilling appearances this year. On April 16, it was announced that similar to his country sensation uncle, Wayne is following in the family’s footsteps by signing his first-ever record deal.
“Timothy Wayne has been honing his craft, his songs, and his sound around the students and college scene of LSU,” says Cindy Mabe, Chair & CEO of UMG Nashville. “He’s bringing a new generation of core country music fans to his experiences of growing up around Nashville and country music as well as the country boy lifestyle he is living. He’s such a charismatic, outgoing, genuine artist, and it’s exciting to watch Timothy build his era of country music and bring in a rabid fan base of youth culture into country music.”

“I’m so excited to have this opportunity to make and record music with UMG Nashville,” Wayne said. “This has been a dream of mine, and I am working hard on music that I can’t wait to share with everyone.”
In addition to securing his record deal, Wayne’s upcoming summer is packed with exciting appearances. He is scheduled to join his uncle, Tim McGraw, on the “Standing Room Only” Tour from June 20-29. Additionally, Wayne is set to perform at CMA Fest later in the year, as reported by American Songwriter.

Tim McGraw has recently teased a potential project that him and his nephew are working on, sharing a photo to his Instagram of Wayne in a vocal booth with the caption “Working in the studio with my nephew.” Although no projects between the nephew and uncle duo have been officially announced, it seems like this is only the start for Timothy Wayne.
