Tim McGraw’s “Standing Room Only” Becomes 46th Chart-Topping Single Of His Career
Tim McGraw is no stranger to topping the charts.
“Don’t Take the Girl” became his first #1 song following its release in 1994. Since then, dozens of McGraw’s singles have reached #1, including “I Like It, I Love It,” “Just to See You Smile,” “The Cowboy In Me,” and “Humble and Kind.”
Now, McGraw is celebrating the 46th #1 song of his career…”Standing Room Only.”
“Standing Room Only” was released in March of this year as the lead single off of his album of the same name. The song was written by Craig Wiseman, Tommy Cecil, and Patrick Murphy.
Listeners instantly resonated with the song, and sent it to the 39th spot on the Hot Country Songs chart during its debut week. It debuted at the 20th spot on the Country Airplay chart that same week.
McGraw Shares Gratefulness For His Fans After Earning A New #1 Song
“Standing Room Only” has held strong on the charts, and made a steady rise over the past few months. CMT shared that the song finally topped the Mediabase chart this week (starting on November 20).
“Give it up for @thetimmcgraw,” CMT wrote on Instagram. “‘Standing Room Only’ claims the No. 1 spot on the Mediabase country chart this week!”

McGraw also shared his own post about “Standing Room Only” rising to the #1 spot on the Mediabase chart. He expressed how grateful he is for his fans, writing:
“Woke up this morning to find out “Standing Room Only” just went Number 1…. the 46th song to top the Country Radio charts in my career. I can’t believe it, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude!! Thank you to Country Radio and everyone listening!”
