Thomas Rhett & Lauren Akins Adorable Love Story
Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins have become one of country music’s most beloved couples. Their relationship is admired not only for its longevity but also for the genuine warmth, humor, and support they show each other in public and on social media.

Thomas and Lauren first crossed paths back in the 1990s at an elementary school in Nashville. They were friends, but their bond didn’t truly deepen until 6th grade, when they both attended the same summer camp and spent more time together.
In 2006, when the duo were both 15, they started dating. Their romance didn’t last long, and they eventually broke up, but they stayed close friends. Over the next five years, they each dated other people, until fate brought them back together in 2011 at a graduation party, where their love story began anew.
They dated for six months until December 2011 when Thomas proposed and the two were married on October 12, 2012, followed by a honeymoon in Hawaii.
After their wedding, they began trying to have children with no luck. God put it on their heart to adopt a girl Lauren met during her travels to Uganda. Once they adopted, they found out they were expecting another baby!
In February 2017, Willa Gray finally joined their family and just six months later, Ava James was born.
In July 2019, the family announced they were expecting their third child. Lennon Love was born on February 10, 2020 and they then welcomed their fourth little girl, Lillie Carolina on November 15, 2021!
On August 26, Thomas and Lauren announced she was pregnant with their fifth child! They are waiting to find out the gender of this baby at birth.
Thomas Releases New Video For His Song “Chapter 10”
In a newly released video, Thomas Rhett shares a heartfelt glimpse into him and Lauren’s sweet love story, brought vividly to life with years of never-before-seen home footage filmed by Lauren’s dad, Steve Gregory.
The video opens with Thomas asking Steve for permission to marry Lauren, and shares adorable scenes from different “chapters” in their early years of knowing one another into parenthood.
Thomas explains how after they got over their “Chapter 10” of splitting up, the couple went on to eventually get back together and experience life-changing moments such as their gorgeous wedding day and the early years of their marriage and parenthood.
I think it’s safe to say we are all so thankful Thomas and Lauren made it past Chapter 10!
