Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins welcomed their third daughter on February 10. And, unlike many celebrity parents, the couple are happy to share photos of their clan with their fans.
Both Thomas Rhett and Lauren shared the news of Lennon Love Akins’ arrival on social media the day after her birth, along with photos of their precious new addition meeting her sisters for the first time.
“Lennon Love Akins was born at 8:30 AM on February 10th! It was such a joy to watch this little angel be brought into the world. My wife is just incredible through the entire birth,” Thomas Rhett captioned his post. “Watching our kids meet Lennon for the first time was probably the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen in my whole life! Ada James and Willa Gray are going to be the best big sisters on the planet. The Lord is so good and I’m so grateful for my beautiful growing family!”

One week after her arrival, the proud dad took to Instagram to share new photos of baby Lennon. The hair and the eyes are a dead giveaway that this baby is most definitely her daddy’s girl, and the fans agree. “I’ve never seen a baby look so much like their parent,” one fan commented. Another wrote, “She looks more like TR than TR looks like TR.”

Thomas Rhett and Lauren are childhood sweethearts who married in 2012, but didn’t start a family until 2017. Not only did they welcome one child that year, but two! The couple was in the process of adopting a little girl from Uganda when they found out that Lauren was pregnant.
After a year-long adoption process, Willa Gray joined the Akins family in Nashville on May 11, 2017. Just three months after Willa’s arrival, Lauren gave birth to Ada James. In an interview with Southern Living, the couple explained that both Willa Gray and Ada James’ names have family ties. “Willa” comes from Thomas’ grandfather, Willard, and “Gray” originates with Lauren’s brother, Grayson. Lauren’s grandmother was also an “Ada,” and Lauren explained that the name means happy. And “James” is a family name on both sides. The couple hasn’t yet shared the story behind Lennon Love’s name.
Little Lennon will only be the new Akins kid on the block for another month or so. Thomas Rhett’s father, legendary singer-songwriter Rhett Akins, is expecting a baby boy with his wife Sonya. Their baby is due in March.
