Reba McEntire brought the spirit of the season to the second night of The Voice‘s Season 28 finale.
A new The Voice champion was named at the end of Tuesday’s Season 28 finale. (December 16). But before the winner announcement was two hours of performances from the finalists, their coaches, and numerous special guests.
Riley Green, Neal Schon, Zac Brown & Noah Cyrus, Khalid, and others helped celebrate the end of another season with guest performances.
Three of the four coaches joined the finalists to sing Christmas songs for the finale dubbed “The Voice Finale Holiday Spectacular.” Niall Horan was the only coach who didn’t perform. Reba took his place to sing “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” with Horan’s finalist trio, DEK of Hearts. Gina Miles, who took home the trophy for Team Niall on Season 23, joined Niall’s other finalist, Aiden Ross, to sing “Last Christmas.”
One of the highlights of the episode was Reba McEntire’s duet with her team’s lone finalist, Aubrey Nicole.
The two paired up for a powerful rendition of “Mary, Did You Know?” This wasn’t the first time the classic Christmas song was performed on The Voice. In 2015, Jordan Smith delivered a stunning rendition during the Season 9 finale just moments before he was crowned that season’s winner.
Reba previously sang the song with Little Big Town for CMA Country Christmas in 2017. The “Fancy” singer also included the track on her 1999 album, Secret of Giving: A Christmas Collection.
Aubrey Nicole, the last remaining member of Team Reba this season, joined her coach on stage to sing “Mary, Did You Know?” The result was an emotional performance that reminded viewers of the true reason for the season.

“I chose Aubrey because she has a way of portraying a lot of emotion, and that’s what music is supposed to be about. I definitely think Aubrey has a shot to win the whole competition,” Reba said.
