Team Reba’s Jordan Rainer kicks off the second playoff round on The Voice.
Season 24 of The Voice is in full swing, with just 24 contestants left going into the playoff rounds. During playoffs, each coach has six team members which they will need to narrow down to only three before advancing to the live shows.
So far this season, contestants have been laying it all out on the stage, and this week was no different. Jordan Rainer, from Team Reba, came out of the gate with an unapologetic performance of Little Big Town’s “Boondocks.” Sporting what is her signature look of head-to-toe black topped off with a hat and sunglasses, Rainer’s gritty voice gave the country song an edgy twist.
Jordan Ranier’s performance showed her star potential.
After the electric performance, each of the four coaches had a chance to weigh in. Niall Horan went first, sharing, “Every time you come out here it feels like your gig already. To have that natural stage presence every single week… it’s so good.”
Gwen Stefani added to the praise, saying. “Today was just right on the nail. You had so much control over that song with your voice, the way you played it, everything.”
John Legend complimented Rainer for having a true sense of who she is as an artist adding, “It’s so clear, it’s so compelling. We all want to watch you.”
Reba McEntire expressed that she is “so proud” of her team member Jordan. “You represent southeastern Oklahoma so well, with your humor, your great attitude, your look, your talent, and your versatility.”
Jordan Rainer will advance to the next round and perform on the live shows.
Jordan Rainer’s hard work paid off and her powerful performance earned her a spot in The Voice Top 12. She will advance to the live shows which will begin next week.
