On Wednesday, July 15, the country star was admitted to the hospital for an emergency hip replacement. Tucker suffered a fractured hip, and according to her representation, the injury required urgent attention. In a statement to WDIO, Tucker’s representative explained:

“It is with regret that we have to cancel all shows for the remainder of July as Tanya has been admitted to the hospital today for an emergency hip replacement surgery as an MRI has revealed a hip fracture that requires immediate attention. We truly appreciate you.”

While Tucker and her team were hopeful that she would return to the stage in August, the country singer has since spoken out about the situation. On Instagram, Tucker explained that her doctors recommended that she rest for “a few more weeks,” and she listed several canceled or rescheduled shows. So far, Tucker has canceled shows through August 13.

“I’m just overwhelmed by all the flowers, love and support since I had hip surgery,” Tucker wrote in her caption. “The doctors want me to rest a few more weeks before we get back on the road. I want you to know every day I feel stronger, better and ready to kick some ass, we’ll see y’all real soon, I PROMISE!”
