Snoop Dogg Can’t Stop Dancing During “Redneck Woman” Battle Round

Snoop Dogg is really enjoying himself during his first season on The Voice.

After filling up his team with singers from all genres, Snoop Dogg has moved on to his first-ever Battle Rounds on The Voice! He paired 61-year-old Gail Bliss and 23-year-old Christina Eagle for his first Battle Round.

Snoop used his one and only Replay Button on Gail after her Blind Audition, during which she sang The SteelDrivers’ “If It Hadn’t Been For Love.” The coaches can use the Replay Button if they didn’t turn for a singer during their audition but realized they made a huge mistake. They can only use the Replay Button once!

Gail and Christina teamed up for an epic Battle Round that got Snoop Dogg out of his chair.

The two singers performed a truly rocking rendition of Gretchen Wilson’s “Redneck Woman.” The audience loved every second, and the coaches were, too.

Multiple times, Gwen Stefani yelled, “Yeah!!!!” from her chair, Reba McEntire and Michael Bublé had smiles plastered across their faces. But no one was more proud than their coach, Snoop Dogg.

He was vocal before the performance even started and can be heard saying, “My ladies! yeah!” while host Carson Daly was introducing the singers.

Almost immediately, Gail and Christina had Snoop Dogg dancing in his seat. It seems he couldn’t contain himself to his chair, because before we knew it, he was standing up and dancing around in excitement and pride!

Snoop Dogg did not stop dancing throughout the entire performance! When it came time to give their opinions of the performance, Snoop said, “It doesn’t take a lot to make me move, but it takes a lot to make me get the Gangsta Holy Ghost. That’s what y’all gave me. That’s why I couldn’t control myself.”

He continued, “I was trying to sit in the chair and dance and was like, ‘This isn’t big enough.'”

He told his contestants that he loved their sisterhood, and he loved that they really incorporated what they worked on in rehearsal. Finally, Snoop was tasked with choosing just one singer to advance to the next round. You’ll have to tune into The Voice on Monday and Tuesday night this week to find out who he chooses!
