The Budweiser Clydesdale’s Longstanding Super Bowl Tradition
Legacy beer maker Budweiser has been an annual staple of Super Bowl commercials, creating some of the most memorable ads in the sporting event’s history. The brand began utilizing the platform in the 1970s to highlight the quality, tradition, and likability of their beer. Often drawing on Americana themes, Budweiser has shown a proclivity to tug on the heartstrings of viewers nationwide.
The Budweiser Clydesdales, who have been a symbol of the brand for more than 100 years, were first integrated into their television ads in 1986. Since then, the majestic draft horses have appeared in dozens of Super Bowl commercials, cementing them as an integral part of the annual tradition.

Budweiser Shares Sneak Peek Of 2026 Commercial
Two weeks ahead of the big game, Budweiser has shared a sneak peek of its Super Bowl LX ad. The ten-second preview clip, titled “Foal,” shows a newborn foal in a stable just learning to stand on its own legs. Fans may remember that Budweiser’s previous Super Bowl commercial placed a young horse at the center of the story for the first time in a decade.
According to the brand, the featured animal is one of the smallest Clydesdales to ever appear in a Budweiser Super Bowl commercial.
Quickly, the video cuts to a clip of the young Clydesdale confidently running through a field and closes with the teaser, “Look who’s coming.” See the sneak peek below!

Relive The Fan-Favorite 2025 Super Bowl Ad
The beer brand’s Super Bowl LIX ad was one of the most heartwarming of the 2025 crop. Titled “First Delivery,” the storyline follows a young foal eager to make a delivery with the adult horses.
“Still too little, buddy,” says his handler.
However, when a beer keg falls off the delivery wagon, the foal takes action, rolling the vessel across the rugged terrain all the way to the intended delivery destination. Despite his age and size, the horse proves that he was indeed ready to make his first delivery. Watch it below!
