Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani started dating in 2015, so they’ve spent many Thanksgivings together. But this year marked their first time celebrating the holiday as husband and wife.
Shelton and Stefani married on July 3 in Oklahoma. The couple built a brand-new house there, which is where they welcomed their wedding guests.

The newlyweds haven’t been able to spend time at their Oklahoma home since they said “I do”. Shelton had been on tour and is still actively working on The Voice, while Stefani recently wrapped up her residency in Las Vegas.
Finally, the couple came back to Oklahoma for Thanksgiving. Prior to the holiday, Stefani spoke with Entertainment Tonight about what she and Shelton had planned for their family’s gathering.
Stefani said it’s “tradition” for her family to spend Thanksgiving with her and Shelton in Oklahoma. But this holiday was extra special since it was their first Thanksgiving as husband and wife, and it was their first Thanksgiving in their new home.
“My whole family flies out, and we have not been back there since the wedding,” Stefani said. So I’m really looking forward to it.” She went on to say. “We have a new house there. We have a new life there,” she added. “So it’s gonna be our first married Thanksgiving! Very grateful, very excited.”
On Thanksgiving, Stefani took to her Instagram Stories to share videos of how she and Shelton were preparing for their family’s feast. She later shared a photo collage on Instagram showcasing their Thanksgiving table settings and some of their home decor.
“sooooo much to be thankful for @blakeshelton #iloveu #firstmarriedthanksgiving gx #onelove #family #beliver,” Stefani captioned the pictures.

After Thanksgiving was over, Stefani celebrated Christmas’ pending arrival by sharing a sweet snapshot of her and Shelton (presumably taken during Thanksgiving). She referred to their hit holiday duet with the hashtag “#youmakeitfeellikechristmas.”
