Gwen Stefani Coaches Her First Season Of The Voice Without Husband Blake Shelton
Season 24 of The Voice is the first without Blake Shelton as a coach. Though his presence looms large over the new season, and he’s already been mentioned numerous times.
From mimicking his signature “finger point” to referencing how he’s just a phone call away, the current Voice coaches are making sure Shelton won’t be forgotten.
This season is extra emotional for Gwen Stefani, who met and fell in love with Shelton on the set of The Voice. They married on July 3, 2021.

How Does Gwen Feel About Coaching The Voice Without Blake?
Before Season 24 started, Stefani shared what it’s been like to coach The Voice without Shelton for the first time. She said:
“It’s really different to be on the show without him. I miss him so bad on the show…but at the same time, it hasn’t been as hard as I thought it was gonna be, because I think he was just so ready to have a break, that it was kind of weighing on me the last season we were on there [together].”
Despite Shelton’s absence, Stefani says she “still really love[s] being on the show.”

Stefani found a subtle way to pay tribute to her husband during the blind auditions for Season 24 of The Voice. Eagle-eyed viewers noticed Stefani wore her beloved “Shelton” and “Stefani” necklaces to complement her black and white checkered ensemble.
